About key ingredients in this gel: Aloe has anti-itch and anti-inflammatory properties. Aloe vera also contains vitamins A, C, and E. These vitamins are reported to contribute to healthy-looking growth and shiny hair. Ginseng is believed to increase the dermal cells on the scalp, which, in turn, helps follicles and roots. This may lessen thinning through less breakage. Please note that product build-up is hard on hair and scalp, so make sure to shampoo, and if you have tangles, conditioner is a big help.
How to Use:
For curly hair: apply to wet hair, style with fingers, and air dry. Mixed Chicks suggest that you don’t mess with it as it dries. That will create frizz.
For straight and wavy hair: apply to damp hair, style with fingers, and air dry.
And again, not too much teasing while it dries!
You can also apply this to towel-dried hair. For that, you would work product in from scalp to the ends and maneuver hair into place.
If you like the wet look, you can go heavier as you apply, depending on your hair thickness. We pushed in the development process to have our labs come up with a gel formula that held well but didn’t flake. That said, if you do over-use any gel, you might find your hair a bit too “crunchy.” If that happens, simply break up the crunch with your fingers gently.
Some people like to mix a bit of our leave-in into hair first, then ad the gel for more control and a look of more smoothness.
