Nigel FX Ultra Mud is a finely mineral-based powder that, when added to water, results in smooth mud consistency. It is light taupe in coloration, allowing it to be easily tinted with tempera paint or other cosmetic pigments. Ultra Mud cracks as it dries, creating a dry riverbed effect on skin when applied thickly. For a soiled effect, apply dry with a soft brush or canvas dirt bag. Also great for aging costumes. Non-toxic.
For a thick mud effect, mix about one part Ultra Mud to four parts water, allow to cure for 2 hours, and then dilute further to obtain desired consistency.
- For a thick mud effect, start with a 1:4 ratio of 1 part UltraMud to 4 parts water and mix thoroughly. Allow to cure for at least 2 hours for even absorption.
- UltraMud can be colored/tinted with tempera paint.
- After mixture has cured, you can dilute with more water to thin it your desired consistency.
- Apply cured mixture to skin, hair, costumes, or props. Can be used wet or allowed to dry for a flaky, cracking mud effect.
- UltraMud can be pre-mixed up to a few days in advance and stored in an airtight container. Refrigeration is recommended to prevent mold or bacterial growth.
- Remove by wetting dried product thoroughly and gently wiping clean.
NOTE: DO NOT RINSE LARGE QUANTITIES OF ULTRAMUD DOWN THE DRAIN AS IT MAY DAMAGE PLUMBING
When removing UltraMud or cleaning mixing containers, wipe off excess product with tissues or paper towels and dispose of in the trash.
